The “kids” are never too old for a family portrait! The boys came in from their NYC jobs Easter weekend to give Mom a great gift – an updated Family Portrait. Their last one was over 15 years ago. It was a great opportunity not only for Mom and Dad, but the sons also got updated photos for their apartments.

I first photographed Michele in 2003 as a teenager member of the LSPAC Dance Company and thru many more years of Dance Recitals.

Having watched this beautiful young woman grow, it was wonderful to have Michele come to the studio recently for her Dance Portfolio!

A graduate of Montclair University, Michele is embarking on her career as a Dance teacher and wanted to create a portfolio to go with her resume.

We spent an enjoyable afternoon covering the Saint Paul Parish Senior Valentine Luncheon. St. Paul’s in Ramsey, NJ has a thriving Senior Ministry headed up by Genny Huss. When Genny called and asked if we could photograph the Valentine luncheon we were thrilled.

Everyone had a wonderful time – mingling with friends and dancing. There were many door prizes, and prizes for the couple married the longest – 63 years! and the woman who celebrated the most Valentine’s – 98!!!

Annie’s Bat Mitzvah

How wonderful it has been to watch this little girl grow into a beautiful young lady.

I have been photographing Annie at her annual Dance Recital for many years at Mariann’s School of Dance. When the family asked me to cover Annie’s Bat Mitzvah I was honored to say the least.

I was granted permission to photograph the ceremony. The amount of work a Mitzvah Candidate must complete to reach this day is enormous and the feelings of accomplishment are so great for everyone!

Annie is blessed with a wonderful family and loyal friends!

Kelsey’s Bat Mitzvah

Snow in October?

Who would have expected the snow storm of the century to hit in October? You can bet not Kelsey’s parents! Having done Kelsey’s Bima Portraits earlier in the week, I worried all morning how Kelsey’s ceremony was going. Luckily the snow had started slow and the morning went off without a hitch. Speaking with the family around 3, I found out we were both sitting in the dark but the Country Club was still operational. When the phone rang a half hour later – my heart stopped – No Power at the Country Club!

Ironically Kelsey’s family and friends wound up at the same restaurant as us that night!

Luckily everyone was available the following Friday and Kelsey had a wonderful party!
